Role Overview

The QA Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring robust software quality by empowering self-organized teams, implementing and improving automated test frameworks, and driving quality engineering best practices. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and strong technical expertise in automation tools, cloud-based testing, and CI/CD environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Enable product teams to improve software quality by implementing and maintaining automated test suites.
• Continuously enhance and optimize QA frameworks across the organization.
• Provide training and mentorship to product teams on test design and quality practices.
• Support QA activities including test case creation, test automation, and maintenance.
• Monitor and report QA metrics to the QA Lead Engineer to ensure testing compliance.
• Apply technical knowledge in automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud testing for efficient execution.
• Promote awareness of test automation and its importance across all product teams. 

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in automation QA roles using tools like Playwright, Robot Framework, Selenium.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript (minimum 2 years).
• Proficiency in Python, particularly using Pytest for test automation.
• Deep understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Proven experience with test automation in cloud web applications, preferably SaaS platforms.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools such as Git, CircleCI.
• Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with Confluence and Jira. 

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data/API testing and unit testing frameworks (e.g., BDD with Pytest).
• Prior involvement in release management workflows.
• Domain expertise in FMCG/CPG industries and integration with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with AWS or public cloud environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication.
